Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Felix Bock

Prof. Bock is the Head of the Research Division for Diseases of the Cornea and Ocular Surface at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Cologne, Germany. He pursued his biology studies at the Universities of Erlangen, Magdeburg, and Saarbrücken, and completed his PhD at the University of Erlangen‐Nürnberg.
From 2008 to 2011, he worked as a postdoc at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Erlangen, as part of the SFB 643 Priority research Programme of the DFG. Since 2011, he has held the position of Head of the Research Division for Diseases of the Cornea and Ocular Surface, as well as Head of the Reading Center CORIC (Cologne Ophthalmological Reading and Image Analysis Center) at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Cologne.
Professor Bock’s research primarily focuses on local immune modulation in corneal transplantation and ocular surface diseases. His research efforts are supported by DFG and Industry. He has authored more than 80 peer‐reviewed papers, including publications in IOVS, JI, AJT, and PRER.
