Laura Frutos Rincón

Laura Frutos is an Assistant Professor of Physiology and a postdoctoral researcher in the Ocular Neurobiology Group at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. In addition to her work at the university, she has completed several international research stays at prestigious institutions, including the Tufts Medical Center (Boston, MA), the Institut de la Vision (Paris, France), and Linköping University (Sweden).

During the early stages of her career, she specialized in the sensory innervation of the cornea and its interaction with the immune system. In recent years, she has focused her research on rare diseases affecting the ocular surface, evaluating and developing new therapies through behavioral and electrophysiological experiments.
