INSERM – Daniela

Daniela Rodrigues Braz

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

I recently completed my PhD in pharmacological sciences, focusing on the development and evaluation of novel ocular formulations of spironolactone for diseases affecting both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye, in collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry. Within the RESTORE VISION project, my research focuses on the formulation and preclinical evaluation of topical treatments and innovative therapeutic strategies using repurposed drugs, including spironolactone. I also study the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying spironolactone’s activity to better understand its role in corneal regeneration and disease modulation. Additionally, I am actively involved in project management and collaboration with industry partners.
