
Dr. Petros Moustardas

Dr. Moustardas has over 10 years of experience in basic, translational, and clinical research, serving as a post-doctoral researcher and research engineer in international labs working on ocular disease, immune responses, and cellular metabolism. As a member of Neil Lagali’s research group at Linköping University, Sweden, he specializes in pharmacological intervention studies on animal models and cell cultures in the context of corneal pathology, particularly aniridia-associated keratopathy (AAK), keratoconus, neuropathic keratopathy, and corneal neovascularization. Additionally, he actively participates in preclinical animal research concerning corneal prosthetic devices and biomaterials, as well as research on post-COVID eye problems in patients.
