Dr. Mert Mestanoglu

Dr. Mestanoglu is a PhD Student at the Department of Experimental Ophthalmology, University Hospital of Cologne. He earned his medical degree with high honors from Bahcesehir University School of Medicine in Istanbul. Throughout his academic journey, he actively participated in research and clinical internships at prestigious institutions, including Boston Children’s Hospital, The Rockefeller University, and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Dr. Mestanoglu’s passion and commitment to ophthalmology have earned him numerous accolades, including several awards and grants for international conferences, as well as scholarships for academic excellence. His research has been centered around exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying various corneal conditions, with the ultimate aim of developing novel treatments and therapies to restore sight and improve the quality of life for those affected by these diseases. Dr. Mestanoglu is a dedicated professional who continues to contribute to the advancement of eye health through his research and medical experiences.
