Dr. Giulio Ferrari

Ophtalmologist – Ospedale San Raffaele

Dr. Giulio Ferrari is a specialized ophthalmologist focusing on cornea and ocular surface diseases, particularly infectious, inflammatory, and autoimmune disorders. He leads the Eye Repair research Unit at his department, dedicated to improving patient treatments through translational and clinical research.
With a Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Parma (cum laude), he pursued ophthalmology residency (cum laude) at the University Hospital of Parma, followed by fellowships at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Ferrari’s research interests include corneal neovascularization, keratoconus, and intractable ocular pain. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in esteemed ophthalmology journals and received awards such as the Point Guard Bioscience Innovation in Ophthalmology Award (2016) and Pfizer Carl Camras Translational Ophthalmology Award (2020).
